I would like to work as a housesitter, animal and/or property caretaker who offers a stipend/small salary and free living quarters.

I'm a middle age female, experienced in life, with a college degree (Info. Systems) and a divorce with no kids under my belt. I am currently unemployed (laid off), living in my car, and need a place to live with salary. I heard about caretaker.org so I joined yesterday. I prefer to work with property or animals only. I'm brand new and in the process of requesting referrals appropriate to this type of work. Any feedback is appreciated to help me get started. Thank you.
